SKIN REDNESS : WHAT IS IT DUE TO?
Skin redness is due to hyperreactivity of the blood vessels and is more visible in people with thin, fair skin .
There are different types of skin redness : temporary redness – due to an emotion, a heatstroke (or cold!) or a dish that is a little too spicy – and permanent redness .
Among permanent redness, we distinguish:
• Erythrosis:Temporary redness dilates the blood vessels, which find it increasingly difficult to return to normal, and over time these become permanent. These redness are then diffuse and are generally located on the cheeks. |
• Rosacea:Rosacea is a worsening of erythrosis. The blood vessels are more and more visible on the skin , they are no longer diffuse but very distinct. - - - - - - - - |
• Acne rosacea:The symptoms of acne rosacea are very similar to those of acne. However, despite its name, acne rosacea is not acne. Red spots (sometimes with a “white head”) appear mainly on the cheeks. - - - - - - - - |
