24 heures dans la vie d’une peau stressée

24 hours in the life of stressed skin

Excess sebum, redness or even eczema... All these little hassles are sometimes the result of too intense fatigue, too much stress or even a poor nutritional balance. To understand the mechanisms of our skin and have a precise vision of what it undergoes during the day, we immersed ourselves, for 24 hours, in the life of a stressed epidermis. And the least we can say is that he has a rather busy schedule…

7:30 a.m.

The alarm rings. After 5 different ringtones (set every 5 minutes off-course) you tell yourself that you had better get up. After a quick calculation, you realize that You only slept 6 hours . But it's during sleep that the cell renewal mechanism is at its maximum to repair the damage of the day and re-boost the skin's defenses ... No time to think about it too much, it's already time to go take a nice hot shower before the make-up stage. Go, go, go!

9:00 a.m.

After running to catch the next metro (very crowded like every morning), you finally arrived at the office. No time to have a coffee as the first meetings follow one another . The pressure of new projects and deadlines piling up too. Suddenly you feel like you're getting hot, the stress builds up and your forehead starts to shine. You pull yourself together and move on to the next step in your day.

1:00 p.m.

It's time to go to lunch. After applying a little loose powder to mattify your complexion and blush to brighten up your complexion , you head off to join a colleague. You catch a taxi to go faster and the difference in temperature between the outside of the car and the inside makes you blush and feel uncomfortable. at the level of the face . No time to linger, you have already arrived at your destination. You sit on the terrace and order a burger and fries to give you energy all day long. In addition to exposing you to the sun's rays without protection, no vegetables are served as an accompaniment. Nothing serious in short, you will prepare a healthy meal this evening .

5:00 p.m.

This lunchtime meal wasn't enough and after feeling tired at 2:30 p.m. , you now have a little cravings. While your coworkers go off to smoke a cigarette, you go down to the cafeteria and buy a candy bar to give you some energy and calm that hungry stomach.

6:30 p.m.

After rushing to finish the last emergencies of the day, you finally turn off your computer. A little make-up touch-up ( concealer to camouflage imperfections, loose powder to mattify the complexion and a little blush to look good), you set off to meet your friends around a well-deserved drink. Metro, bus, heavy traffic : your evening starts off right.

11:00 p.m.

After one or two Spritzes and a plate of cheese/charcuterie shared with friends, you tell yourself it's time to go home . To avoid public transport, you borrow a bike and ride leisurely home. The cold freezes your face and it doesn't take long for you to feel a little tingling which extend from the cheeks to the forehead. After you get home, you get rid of your things. You go to brush your teeth and quickly remove your makeup with micellar water . You return to your bed and take advantage of this little moment of tranquility to scroll through your Instagram feed and thus expose your face to the blue light of the screen. Tomorrow, the wake-up call is set for 7:30 a.m. sharp. A new day which promises to be, once again, rich and busy.

In conclusion :

We don't always realize it, but our lifestyle can subject our skin to countless attacks. Stress, lack of sleep, UV rays, blue light, junk food, pollution and even cigarette smoke are factors which, taken together, sensitize our skin. While some things are inevitable, others can be easily countered. And when it comes to our skin well-being, every action counts…
